Roadrunner’s Dave Renfrew Nominated for Recruiting Pro of the Year

Transport Topics has named Roadrunner VP of Driver Capacity Dave Renfrew as one of three finalists for its Recruiting Professional of the Year award. The award recognizes driver recruiting and retention professionals excelling in their fields. 

Renfrew is a 27-year veteran of the trucking industry. In only one year with Roadrunner, his programs have doubled hiring and improved conditions for drivers and customers. Dave has transformed Roadrunner’s driver-focused programs, including recruitment, orientation, safety and retention. He has also been instrumental in creating the Roadrunner for Veterans program that will launch later this year. 

According to Priscilla Peters, VP of Marketing & Training at Conversion Interactive Agency, a firm specializing in recruitment for trucking which hosts the annual event in conjunction with Transport Topics and the American Trucking Association, “This award was designed to recognize driver recruiting and retention professionals who excel in exceeding recruiting goals and objectives, those who lead the way in implementing new recruiting innovations for their organization, and those who have implemented policies, processes and practices that support the promotion of the trucking industry and driver recruiting for all carriers.”  

“It’s nice to be recognized by your peers,” Dave said of the panel which consists of past winners and industry experts. “What I like best is helping people better their lives. That’s my biggest thrill out of all this. Providing people with business opportunities and empowering our entrepreneurs.” 

The winner of the award will be announced on June 3, 2022 at the 19th annual Recruitment and Retention Conference in Nashville, TN.
