Hello Roadrunner Freight Independent Contractors,

Welcome to our first edition of the Trucker Tribune… a monthly newsletter dedicated to you!

We recently held an IC Roundtable in Atlanta, and hopefully you were able to join our live broadcast. We received great feedback and suggestions from our meeting, and appreciate everyone who joined. Our goal is to make Roadrunner Freight the destination of choice for Independent Contractors, and we appreciate the suggestions and feedback to improve our company.

We are extremely excited about the future of our business, and this newsletter will allow you to stay up to date with company news, safety reminders and more.

Please let us know your thoughts and suggestions to improve the Trucker Tribune, and I look forward to seeing pictures and updates from the road!

Be safe, and thanks for all of your hard work!

 Sincerely,

Frank Hurst

President of Roadrunner Freight

Fleet Coordinators

We now have five fleet coordinators on staff with Roadrunner Freight! Their goal is to help you increase your miles and maintain a consistent settlement. Pictured from left to right, beginning in the back row: Tim Kenny, Mario Munoz, Harly Schenk, Camila Valtierra and Tarlesha Dorsey. If you are interested in working with a Fleet Coordinator, please contact your IC Coordinator for more information.

Love’s and Goodyear Tires

  • Please note: The tire lane check and specific tire discounts at Love’s that were in place last year are no longer valid.
  • Roadrunner Freight ICs can drive up to any Goodyear CTSC (Commercial Tire Service Center) without an appointment and receive a free tire inspection at any time during normal business hours in any of the contiguous 48 States with no obligation.
  • Tires can be purchased at Goodyear or TA for significantly discounted rates.
  • Goodyear also offers a large line of drive and steer tires at a discounted rate.
  • For more information, contact Mike Grima at mike.grima@rrts.com or 734.946.3675.

Security Check Process

We now require our guards to identify all drivers and equipment, as well as verify trailer and seal numbers to increase security at our locations. Thank you, Roadrunner Freight Independent Contractors, for your cooperation in helping us build a safer and more secure environment for you, your equipment, our employees and our customers’ freight. Your efforts to continually improve the Roadrunner Freight experience are appreciated!

We are happy to announce that we have reduced our CSA alerts from three to one! We have also dropped our Hazmat and Maintenance alert with only Hours of Service remaining. Keep up the great work by checking for placards, maintaining your lights, tires and brakes and operating a legal log book.
